BuddhaNet - Worldwide Buddhist Information and Education Network - Hwagysa Temple sits at the foot of the beautiful Samgakshan Mountain in the North of Seoul. It is part of the Chogye Order of Korean Buddhism, and has been the home to many Korean lineage Zen masters and teachers such as Zen Master Man Gong, Hye Am, Chun Sung, Ko Bong, Jeok Eum and Dok Sahn. Hwagyesa Temple was built in 1522 by Zen Master Shin Wol.
